Alien Invasion - (Attack on The White House)
This is fiction in which aliens attempt to invade earth, either through military conquest, political subversion or a campaign of mass extermination. These have been around for quite a long time; some popular alien invasion films include, Alien, Men In Black and Super 8.
Superhero Fiction - (Mind Games)
Some people do not believe that Superhero Fiction should be classed as a Sci-Fi sub genre as in most cases there is no science involved in the films. However there is no doubt that there is tonnes of fiction, as in these films people characters have special fictional powers. In most cases they use these to protect civilians and fight villains. Superhero fiction films include, Deadpool, Iron Man and Superman.
Robot Fiction - (TITAN 2053)
This genre focuses on the science of robotics. It is common for robot fiction and superhero fiction to overlap and be in the same film. Some examples of robot fiction films are Transformers, Ex Machina and Robocop.
